Wrist Strap Test

Greetings Experts!

Currently, personnel at my premise are testing their wrist strap at gantries before entering EPA (each time).
At the same time, we are planning to remove Personnel Ground Wrist Strap Connection (Non-monitored) and install Continuous Ground Monitors (CGM) in production for seated processes.
Kindly explain is it still necessary to perform wrist strap test at the gantries before entering production (each time) once install CGMs in production.
If Yes/No, kindly advise why.

Logan,

Once you move to a continuous monitor of your wrist straps, the entry checks will not be needed. You will need to add compliance verification of the continuous monitors per the manufacturer’s recommendation but this can be done on at a less frequent basis (i.e. monthly, quarterly).
