NOTA: En la sección 7.3 y 7.4 de ANSI ESD S20.20-2021 solo hacen referencia a las tablas 2, 3 y 4 del estándar.
While ANSI/ESD S20.20 contains a lot of information on ESD control items, they are all based on consensus standards. At this time, there are no standards that cover hand tools. However, there should be a way to verify them in your control program. Since they are not in ANSI/ESD S20.20 or in TR53, the user needs to develop a way to ensure they work.
A simple resistance to ground test may be all that is needed. If the tool is handheld, then maybe measure from the tip of the tool to ground while a grounded person is holding the tool.
Any verification method that makes sense will be acceptable.
