Hi, has anyone carried out or heard about results from carrying out accelerated lifetime ESD testing of Static Control Garments (ie up to 50 washes for example), please? This does not relate to groundable garments, as ours ground through being in contact with a grounded operators skin.
After finding some Rp failures during auditing across some sites, I have just completed a series of tests over an accelerated wash period of a new version garment supplied and it indicates that the construction (mainly around the arm join) has a big influence on the results, right from the start. The tests carried out were done as per normal audit verification test, rather than a product qualification test. Over each panel, it is fine and stays within specification, as long as you do not cross over a sleeve connection (which of course is part of the test requirement!) where results came in over Rp ≤ 1x10^11Ω by the end, though it always increased Rp by several decades on nearly every test series.
Thanks in advance.
