My organization wants to purchase this ESDA course. I’m very sorry, but I couldn’t find the contact information for customer service on the website. I have the following questions and hope to get help.
May I ask if this course is an online learning course? Are there any training materials that can be reviewed after class?
Could you let me know that after the completion of this course, will there be a relevant certificate?
Could you let me know that after completing this training, how much knowledge reserve is still needed to obtain the TR53 certification?
Could you let me know that when auditing factories and workshops like EMS, what other certificates and certifications are recommended?
I’m very sorry, but I have quite a few questions. Excuse me. I’m not sure if it’s appropriate to post this here. Thank you for your support.
Thank you for contacting EOS/ESD Association, Inc. regarding the FC101 Online Course. Please see the responses below in bold:
May I ask if this course is an online learning course? Are there any training materials that can be reviewed after class? This course is online, hosted on our LMS platform. The training is in a slide format that allows you to advance at your own pace. You will see the slide on the screen, with audio narration and a script of the spoken words. You will receive an email copy of the presentation material.
Could you let me know that after the completion of this course, will there be a relevant certificate? If you are just purchasing this course, there is no certification attached. You will receive a certificate of course completion, but this does not include any type of certification.
Could you let me know that after completing this training, how much knowledge reserve is still needed to obtain the TR53 certification? While this course may contain some information that is helpful for TR53® certification, it is a separate course and does not count towards TR53® certification. If you are interested in becoming TR53® certified, you would be interested in our ESD Compliance Verification Technician to TR53® course. You can find information about this course on our website here: EOS/ESD TR53 Technician Certification | EOS/ESD Association, Inc.
Could you let me know that when auditing factories and workshops like EMS, what other certificates and certifications are recommended? The TR53® course listed above would be of interest. You may also be interested in our ESD Control Program Auditor Certification Course. You can find that course on our website here: ESD Control Program Auditor Certification | EOS/ESD Association, Inc.
If you have any additional questions, please reach out to us here on the forum or by email at: info.eosesda@esda.org
Thank you very much for your prompt and helpful reply.
In fact, we are very interested in both of these training courses.
However, there is a practical issue here: our city is not in the United States. So I would like to ask:
Are there any online training courses for these two courses?
Are there any online training courses for these two courses? The ESD Control Program Auditor course is fully online. The ESD Compliance Verification Technician to TR53® course is only in person.
How many days and hours of training are required? ESD Control Program Auditor is around 2 hours in runtime with knowledge assessments. ESD Compliance Verification Technician to TR53® is a 3 day in person course with 2 days of training and an exam on the third day. You can find our current offerings on our website at https://www.esda.org/events.
Is the certification exam online? see above
If you have any additional questions, please reach out to us here on the forum or by email at: info.eosesda@esda.org
Could you please inform us whether it is possible to directly participate in the certification for the above two courses without prior training? In other words, is the training mandatory? Is training a prerequisite for obtaining a certification certificate?
There are no prerequisites for either of the courses you are interested in. I don’t believe the ESDA has any prerequisites for any course or certification other than attending/watching the courses themselves and passing the tests. Thanks
Hello ,
Greeting of the day to all from India .
Yes, as Andy Sir has mentioned even I think that there are no rigid prerequisites to apply for the two certification program cited above by ESDA. However, some basic back ground or little experience on ESD control will make it easy to understand and attempt for certification programs.
Further , as ESDA has made very clear, the TR 53 Technician certification program is an in person certification program for 3 full days and initially you need to make the full payment on line through their link and later attend the same personally. No direct exam I suppose.
The other one ie; ESD Control Program Auditor certification is fully online self paced program which you can do at your convenience and after completing each module you need to complete the exam of that module and proceed to the next . After completing exams of all the 5 modules successfully ESDA will issue certification valid for 12 months which is to be renewed every 12 months once paying the required prescribed fee. But, the certification program link you would get only after making full payment on line. If you have some back ground on ESD Control and have gone through the ANSI ESD S 20 20 2021 and TR 53-010-2022, this auditor certification you can finish off in 4-6 hrs. To work as an internal ESD Control Program auditor or as a consultant or as a QC personnel this is really a good certification one can do on self pace.
