Product Qualification Result

Good day Experts,
would like to request for your advise regarding product qualification.
say i have 6 samples and 3 of which pass and 3 of which fail. what would be the final result then. will i accept the materials?
please to know your expertise.

thank you.

Rosalie,

In general, I would say that is a fail. If one fails you may want to test a few more samples to justify the failure as a one off failure but with half of the samples failing, I wouldn’t trust that ESD control item in my EPA.

As I don’t know specifically what ESD control item you are testing and how much it fails by, it is difficult to determine exactly what to do but with a 50% failure rate you should definitely think about qualifying a different ESD control item

Got it Andy. thank you very much.

Hello,
Greetings of the day from India.
I vouch the opinion of Mr. Andy. And further I wish to add;

  1. Please confirm whether or not they are from same lot (mfg.)
  2. Depending upon the quantity supplied you may try with another one or two sets of samples
  3. Ensure that all the samples are tested in more or less same environmental conditions within a short gap period at the same place. If the time gap and the difference in environmental conditions (lower side- bit dry) are too large it may also lead to variation in results
    Overall, as Mr. Andy has stated 50% percent failure is too big to accept for use of such material in an EPA.
    Good day
    Thank you
