We are building some shelf in house that we will be using to storage PCBAs, I have measured the system and everything is complies with ANSI ESD 20.20. But in regards of the shelf qualification, since is not a purchased equipment we can not get a certificate, how these could be handled and comply with the standards?

@Jgarcia4, it depends on how you manage your ESD control program and whether or not you are planning to get facility certification.
If you are following ANSI/ESD S20.20-2021 exactly as prescribed you must be completing product qualification per Table 3, which would point you towards ANSI/ESD STM4.1. If you have the equipment you can complete this qualification internally.
There is also allowance for ‘grandfathering’ of control items that were in use prior to the adoption of the standard by ensuring there is at least 12 months were of compliance verification data to prove it continues to perform well over time.
