Meaning - CDM or HBM sensitivity level

Dear all,

Based on CDM or HBM sensitivity level indicated in standard, i am wondering that

  1. Why standard divide CDM sensitivity level into ±250V, is it due to peak current overlapping when divide voltage level too small? Or other reason?

  2. Mentioned in question, what about HBM sensitivity level?

Looking forward to receiving your reply, thank you!

Looking forward to receiving your feedback.

Bruce,

To clarify CDM limit is 200v not 250v within S20.20-2021

Per section 2 CDM is identified as such “NOTE: The CDM voltage level used in this document is based on industry experience when managing process essential insulators to mitigate induced voltages on devices that could lead to damage.”

Hope this helps
