How Are You Managing Facility Compliance Across Multiple Locations?

We’re reviewing different approaches to facility compliance management, especially in environments where ESD protection, safety procedures, inspections, and regular audits are critical.

For organizations operating multiple sites, spreadsheets can quickly become difficult to maintain. Has anyone implemented facility compliance software to manage inspection schedules, audit findings, corrective actions, equipment calibration, and employee training records in one place?

I’m interested in learning what features have made the biggest difference for your team. Do you integrate compliance tracking with maintenance systems or other operational tools? Any recommendations or lessons learned would be appreciated.

Wow that’s a big question, I will be following any answers you get. We have multiple sites and many systems!

When I was at IBM, I did have the responsiblity for ESD control across multipile sites with different facilities. Some were older sites and a few were built and I had a chance to influence the floor. What was done was to write an ESD corporate specification, similare to ANSI/ESD S20.20, that had to be implemented at all our sites. Once ANSI/ESD S20.20 was released, IBM used that with a few modifications to the limits. For example, new installed floors limit was less than 1x10*6.

At each site there was a responsible ESD coordinator who ensured that the compliance verification plan was being done. All the sites had the equipment needed.
Each manufacturing area was responsible for testing of the ESD control items. This way the burden was shared it did not take to long to test the control items.

I did visit sites to ensure that the program met the requirements. This worked quite well.
