I’m following TR53 for compliance verification for Flooring.
When I go to 7.2.3. Footwear/Flooring system, I see two options for footwear and 1 for flooring:
For footwear:
7.2.3.1.1 Integrated checker
7.2.3.1.2 Resistance Measurement Apparatus
For flooring:
7.2.3.2.1 Resistance Measurement Apparatus
Question: For Footwear: are both methods required or just one out of the two? (I haven’t seen an or or and mentioning those methods), and just want to be very sure.
Either are acceptable although it is easier to use an integrated checker for footwear as usually every person entering an EPA should check their footwear at least daily. To have the Resistance Measurement Apparatus at the entry of the EPA to test footwear is not typical, although it could be done.
Hello,
Greetings of the day to all from India
Your question itself has the answer built in. I see two options for footwear .
Thus you may use either of them . But as our ESDA expert Andy Sir has mentioned, a Combo tester ( Integrated checker ) is the most conventional and convenient procedure adapted in most of the facilities .
Of-course before every lot of new footwear put into use, it need to get qualified which essentially is done with a Resistance meter .
