Buen dia

Estoy implementando un nuevo proceso de tornillado, que tiene contacto con PCB y componentes ESDS la pregunta es la siguiente:
1.Tendria que incluir en el plan de verificaion estos torques? Ya que la norma no menciona dicha medicion.
2. De ser incluida, Cuales serian las especificaciones y equipos?

Hello AlissandroR,

The torque of the screwdrive does not have to be reported in the ESD control plan. What may need to be investigated is:

  • Does the tip come into contact with ESD sensitive items on the PCB. If the screws go into the ground plane they may not be considered ESD senstive.
  • Is the the tip grounded or have a resistance to ground of less than 1x10*9 ohms.
  • If the tip is conductive and has a resistance to ground greater that 1x10*9 ohms, is the voltage on the tip less than 35 volts.

If any of these conditions are met, then it meets the requirements in ANSI/ESD S20.20.

Ya investigamos y la punta de los tornillos entran en el plano tierra en las PCB y algunos componentes, se verifico tambien la resistencia entre la punta conectada a tierra y tiene una resistencia menor a 1x10^9 ohmios, tenemos las siguiente pregunta.

Con estas referencias es necesario elaborar mediciones del plan de verificacion de cumplimiento?

If this is considered part of your ESD control plan, then there should be a compliance verification plan to support it. Since this is not directly in ANSI/ESD S20.20, the requirements and testing is left to you. Also the frequency of the test is left to you.
