10-k ohm for HBM simulator

Hi.

4.2 in JS-001-2017 indicates that 10-k ohm or larger resistor to control pre-pulse voltage (Note 4)

My questions are

  1. Is this 10-k ohm(or larger resistor) in HBM simulator is optional or essential? I am confuse that this 10k-ohm is required for JS-001-2017.

  2. If HBM failures are occurred by pre-pluse voltage without 10-k ohm(or larger resistor) but no HBM failures are removed by using 10-k ohm, this situation is failure or not?

  3. This pre-pulse voltage is part of HBM model on JS-001-2017 OR just needs to removal event for HBM model?
