# Shoe test and using water to pass

Is it okay to spray water on the shoes to pass ESD shoe test or they have to be dry? It’s hard to pass the test in the morning even if we wait a couple of minutes before the test

Hello,

The question that would need to be answered, “Does the show pass the test after an hour, 2 hours or more after the water is sprayed?”.

First of all, what is the limit that is being used? Does the tester use the correct voltage?

The quick answer without any other knowledge is that this would not be an acceptable method.
